So, The Time Has Come For a News Update... Now, before you all think and say "omg finally, you slacker", please keep in mind that writing is a creative and demanding process which takes months of preparations and lots of sleepless nights. So, as you can see, I am actually very fast in writing the news posts, and I promise I will keep them flowing in the future!
Now thatâs settled, let's move on to the actual news.
With the first bosses nerfed, the next few bosses in line proved to be quite a challenge for us, but also getting them killed brought more joy and satisfaction to us all.
First boss we have killed is Auriaya. She has four cat adds following her, which have to be tanked and killed first, but there is a catch, when they are close to each other they are buffing themselves and deal massive damage. The pull is tricky, because often one tank gets all the adds on him, and gets instantly killed. After trying some tactics with 2 tanks on adds, and splitting the raid in half (wipes obviously), we did put dual specs in to good use, and ended with 5 tanks in total, 1 for the boss, and 1 for each add. And it went smoothly, we just zerged them down, AoE ftw baby!

Then we moved to the boss, or should I say pack of bosses, we had skipped, The Iron Council. Pretty straight forward fight, with 3 guys that need to be killed one by one, and when one is killed, other(s) are buffed. Only things you need there are 7 healers (at least!) and semi awake raid. Of course, in true HyS manner, we lacked both, and spent one evening wiping on them with 20 people in raid! But it did pay off, when we got a full raid, they went down easily.

With Iron Council dead, we had all relatively easy bosses on farm, and it was time to try and kill one of the harder bosses. Our choice was Hodir, because he looked easy on 10 men :) But, he's bit harder on 25, although tactics remain the same - move from the small circles, move into big circles, don't stand still unless you are near fire(s), release npc's and noob players from frozen traps, try to stand into beams of light and close to the players with skull over their heads! Easy, isn't it?!? Well, we killed him on the very 1st night of trying, so he must be piss easy (it's fair to say that all other kills took us much more time, don't ask me why).

Next in our sight was Thorim. He proved to be the most difficult encounter we have faced in Ulduar (until we tried Mimiron, but more about that when we kill it ;p). Thorim fight requires 2 groups, 1 for corridor, which is facing some trash mobs and 2 mini bosses, and 2nd for arena, which has to stay alive for 3 minutes at least, killing the waves of mobs, until 1st group reaches the boss. We have tried every possible tactic, we went down from 6 tanks to 3 tanks, composed groups in various ways, until we found a tactics that works for us. It was a slow learning process, but I think it's fair to say that we have mastered that fight, and we are now killing Thorim with ease (compared to Hodir).

Then, after a few days of slacking, we barely got the 25 people for the raid, we were so desperate that we invited Ste and Ludo to "help" us, and moved to the next boss, Freya. Initial idea for that raid was just to kill protectors, and walk away with 3 more emblems. After killing protectors easily, we decided to try to kill Freya. With quick explanation of tactics, we had one good attempt, and were so close to getting into ph2, which is almost a certain kill. People could taste blood, got more focused, and she went down pretty easily.

So that's 10 bosses on farm, only few more to go, keep up the good work people!

So. after months of boring, repeating naxx clearing, blizz finally released long awaited patch, with plenty of new stuff, most important beeing the new instance, Ulduar.
We had a slow start, due to easter holydays in Serbia and Greece, and then there was a international Working day as well, so it was hard to find any Hybrid online.
But once the holydays were over, HyS members switched meat and beer with mouse and keyboard, and we rushed into new instance. And i mean it! First boss is vehicle fight, with 15 vehicles steaming around killing everything that moves. So it suited our style almost perfectly, facerolling over keyboard produced great damage, and with some pathetic tactics 1st boss went down pretty easily. In fact it was so easy that he doesn't deserve a screenshot(read - i can't find it on my hdd ;p).
So we moved to the next one, Razorscale. Of course, we picked a wrong one (harder to kill), but he was no match for us once we figured how to position and how to switch tanks during phase 2 - for those who weren't there it was like this: mt dies, ot steps in, mt gets combat ress, ot dies, mt steps in, ot gets combat ress. Pro tactics, true hybrid way of thinking.

Next in line was XT-002 Deconstructor, commonly known as Robot. It took us several days to down him, mainly cause of our own mistakes, like letting repair bots passing by us, or killing walking bombs in the middle of the raid, and of course good old main tank dieing! But we managed to pull one good try, and down he went.

So, there was only one boss left in the wing, and even us couldn't miss the way to him! After some wiping on trash, we finally reached the big guy, Ignis the Furnace Master. That fight was really hard for the healers, we tried every possible tactics and healing assignments, but we just couldn't do it. But looks like Blizzard is looking at our progress rate, so the day after they introduced the nerfing of the Ulduar bosses. So next time we stepped into Ulduar, we one-shotted first four bosses, Ignis included. But, to be honest, we would never make it without hours of wiping we had in previous week.

And then we have reached the not nerfed boss, Kologarn, aka the guy with the arms! Yes, you can actually target and nuke his arms, but it's the right arm which was supposed to be nuked. One more tough fight for the healers, and apparently for dps, because finding a right arm and nuking was rather hard for some people :P So after a day or two of wiping, last night we came to wipe more, but surprisingly, we killed him on the very first try of the night :O

p.s. note the noobs at the very upper part of the pic, clearly not on TS!
So, we killed 5 bosses for approx. 15 hours of raiding, not bad for bunch of underachieving noobs if you ask me! Good job people, keep it up!

Think it's about time to post something here other than that porn spam that keeps coming ;p
Not much happened since last post, apart from killing the last boss that was still bothering us - Malygos.
I could write details about killing, if I could only remember it, since it was done 2 months ago! Only thing I can remember that kill wasn't such a big surprise, after getting him to less than 5% couple of times. So, for once, we got enough focus and calmness to get the job done to the end :)
So, it's the first time (since i've joined HyS) that we have all the content on farm. Now, before someone think we suddenly became pro's, it's fair to say that Blizzard made the most of work for us, by making the content pretty easy. And while it was kinda funny to rush through the content at the begging, soon it became more or less boring, so some people, including some officers, lost interest for the game at the current state, and i think noone can blame them. So, in the last month or so, we really were much more casual than HC guild, not that we were ever HC, but trust me, we were much HC than we are lately!
That is something that I, and in my opinion most of the people, expect to change after new patch, that brings a lot of new things, including new instance, Ulduar, comes.
Until then, enjoy the slacking :)

It's been a while since any news were posted, since we were busy discovering new features, zones and instances of the new World of Warcraft expansion, Wrath of the Lich King.
Leveling was quite fun, there were many refreshing quests, zones are really big and nice looking, storyline is better then ever (or at least that's what I've heard - reading quest's text is not gonna make anyone level fast! ).
First big change, or maybe making some things official, came during leveling, when 30 days of adny's last wow login passed, so we made a ticket regarding passing GM title to someone not so slacking - me :) You can see mine conversation with game master about that matter, he almost made Feniks our guildmaster, thank God i made him think twice before doing it :)
Second big thing happened few days after - finally realm 1st for Hybrid Species - certain troll female hunter became Realm first Grand Master Enchanter! As a reward, hunter got promoted to officer rank, so he can have his share of whining :)
Also, new expansion made some of our old friend(s) to come back, and see if the game is still good as it once was.
Guess who can't sleep at night cause of baby's crying and constant need of changing diapers? ;p
After week or two, we had enough people to form two 10-men raids, and so we did, in order to try out new raiding instances and see how hard it is as a preparation for the real deal - 25-men raids. And it proved to be no match for us! We cleared all 10-men content in two weeks, only hard encounter proved to be Malygos, mostly cause it's pretty bugged :)
So we moved to 25-men raids quickly, and were desperate to see some real challenges, but to be honest, it was even easier then 10-men, we even overcome Ben's wiping skills, so we have managed to kill every single boss there is at the moment, apart from that nasty bugged dragon Malygos, but seeing that we dropped him to 4% couple of times, he will go down as well one of these days.
Kel'Thuzad:
And that's pretty much summary of the past 2 months, we had plenty of fun together and I really hope we will have even more fun in the future.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!

Finally it happened! A ten thousand years old Illidan was slained by Hybrid Species!
If you remember the start of TBC and first raids done by HyS back then, think I would not exaggerate if say many of us thought we will need ten thousand years to kill Illidan, if not more :). But after 'only' couple of years, he was finally dispatched and went to history.
Few weeks back we had our first serious attempts to slain Illidan, and as usual first phase was easy, looked like smooth and easy ride. Many of us watched first filmed Illidan kill, and according to movie later phases were more or less very elementary and should I say - plain easy. But in reality we were witnesses of dramaticaly changed circumstances - Blizzard was also awared 'epic' Illidan fight is not so epic after all, so they buffed phase 2, tanks need to move around and watch for deadly lasers at the
same time! Sounds easy? Yes. In reality? All, and I mean ALL fire resistance tanks died from eye beams at least 20 times, and things started to look rather grim and unpleasant. Reaching a phase 3 was far far away.....
But after a week or two, tanks got it! Last raiding week we managed to enter phase 3 for the first time, with only few people alive, and this sunday was the great opportunity to see if tanks learned a bitter lesson of surviving :) Needless to say, they did! We had few proper phase 3 tries, with almost all people alive (even melee!) and reached 17% mark as a best try of the evening.
With boosted morale and eager to kill we faced Illidan once more last night. First try was excellent! Well....almost... One hunter (female troll, rich like Swiss National Bank, a guy who has AH in his left pocket, but I wont mention his name! :P), overnuked and killed half of the raid when other flame was at 20% of health! Another bitter lessons for all nukers and 'nukers', but again, it wasnt for nothing, after this episode noone overaggroed again on phase 2. So more or less we started to enter phase 3/4/5 regulary and for the first time think all people were sure that Iliidan is going down the same night.
And that's what happened, after about an hour Illidan was defeated! Another epic kill, with warlock tank dead from demon at 4%, with 20 ppl dead at 3%, and only 4 survivers at the end! The last 1% of his health was the longest 1% we ever saw, basically cause noone knew that
Maiev herself is in charge to land a killing strike to Illidan when he is at 1% :D
The loot? Who cares.....Illidan is dead! But for the people who wish to know, Speshtality was revarded with melee ring and healing mace. Thats right, Spesh recieved healing mace since loot master was so exicting so he missclicked :D Thank God for tickets and GM assistance :)
I would like to thank all people who was around for the last 3 years, who made HyS a great guild and funny place to be, who never lost faith even in rough times, who pushed and pushed and pushed. I just cannot find good enough words to describe how proud I am to be a part of such a great community; hell, I am among good friends at the first place! Hope you will be kind enough to forgive and forget harsh words which occasionally were spoken by me on TS/forum/raidchat :)
Thank you again gals and girls! New challenges are ahead, hope we will have alot of fun and unforgetable moments in the future together!
